Rules & Regulations

The rules that guide the conduct of our pupils, parents and staff.

1. Time Keeping

Be punctual: report to school and to class on time. The gate is open from 5:30am to 7:30am in the morning and from 4:30pm to 6:00pm in the evening. No boda boda is allowed on the school premises outside the times stated above.

2. Payments

Parents and guardians are required to pay at least 50% of the school fees before the reporting date. The balance must be paid by the term’s visitation day, using the payment options provided by the bursar.

Note: The school sends out only four school fees reminders. After the fourth reminder, the child will not be allowed in class.

3. School Property
  • Buildings, classrooms and latrines must be kept clean and neat.
  • Do not deface or damage school property. Pupils who vandalise school property will make restitution.
  • Any pupil who damages, breaks or loses school property will pay for it, as the school authority may deem fit.
4. School Uniform
  • All pupils are expected to be neatly dressed at all times in the full, correct, clean school uniform, in good condition and clearly labelled.
  • Painted nails, lipstick, rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, bangles, and the use of bleaching or skin-lightening creams are prohibited.
  • Pupils must keep their hair very short and neat, with no fancy haircuts. Girls may plait their hair. Shaven heads with styles are not permitted.
  • All uniforms are bought from the school.
5. Personal Property

The following are not allowed in school unless prior permission is granted by the school administration:

  • Radios, cell phones and other electrical equipment
  • Yo-yos, darts, slingshots and other potentially dangerous toys
  • Valuables, extra money, computer games and items of sentimental value
  • Fireworks and matches
6. Attendance

Pupils must strive to be present every school day. In case of absence, parents should call the school on the morning of the absence and notify the teacher in writing when the pupil returns to school.

7. Requirements

All pupils are expected to report to school on the first day with all the necessary requirements.

8. Respect the Rights of Others
  • Bullying of any form, whether verbal, physical or by any other means, and any victimisation, is strictly forbidden.
  • All stakeholders of the school are expected to respect their peers and teachers regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender.
  • Respect the property of others. Pupils are not allowed to touch things that do not belong to them unless they have been given permission.
9. Notices

All parents and guardians are expected to read all school notices brought to their attention by the school administration through WhatsApp, letters and the school website.

10. Security and Safety
  • Parents and guardians are expected to introduce the person in charge of picking up their child to the class teacher and the office.
  • Pupils are expected to remain within the school boundaries at all times. Pupils leaving the school premises must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
11. Playground Rules
  • All pupils are expected to use equipment properly.
  • Avoid bumping into or hurting others. Rough contact sports and games are not allowed.
  • Report all accidents to the teachers on duty and supervisors.
  • Pupils are allowed in the playground only under the supervision of a teacher or caregiver.
12. Language
  • The language of communication is English. While on the school premises and at other places representing the school, every pupil shall uphold the school’s image by using English as the language of authority. Failure to observe this will be taken as deliberate defiance of the established rule.
  • The use of vulgar, profane, obscene and derogatory language is extremely unacceptable. Violations will attract strict internal punishment as deemed fit.
13. Transport of Day School Pupils
  • Parents who use school vans are expected to wait by the roadside with their children until they are picked up. Otherwise the school shall not be held responsible for any calamity that befalls children waiting alone.
  • Parents shall sign a commitment form before they access the service.
  • The vans do not pick up pupils on the first and last days of the term, because parents are expected to clear with the school.
  • The transport fee depends on the distance.
